EU Affairs

The NWRA holds the National Contact Point (NCP) in Ireland for the Interreg Europe, Northern Periphery and Arctic Programme as well as for the Atlantic Area Programme.

The Northern and Western Regional Assembly has over 17 years experience engaged with EU funding programmes. The EU Engagement Team aims to be the hub of information relating to EU funding mechanisms and we want to help.

The role of the National Contact Point is to give personalised support to project applicants from Ireland through:

  • Guidance on choosing programme priority and types of action
  • Advice on administrative procedures and contractual issues
  • Training and assistance on proposal writing
  • Distribution of documentation (forms, guidelines, manuals etc.)
  • Assistance in partner search

For more information on the Interreg programmes that NWRA provide the National Contact Point for, please refer to the individual Programme pages below.
