From time to time, the Assembly Chamber is used by other groups and organisations.
The Dr. Douglas Hyde Conference is usually held in the Assembly in July of each year. This conference brings together a number of leading thinkers, academics, commentators and speakers to discuss and debate the various year’s theme. The theme for 2015 is “Protectors of our Heritage: saving the notes of nationality, our footsteps, language and customs”.
A Coffee Morning in aid of the Mayo/Roscommon Hospice and Alzheimers Association also takes place each year. Roscommon County Council use the Assembly Chamber for training purposes, Area Committee Meetings and for public consultation on major infrastructural projects.
In addition many local businesses use the Chamber for various Trainings and Presentations events throughout the year.
